Adam Balon was a professional driver racing GT3 and multiclass endurance machinery in crewed cars. Graded FIA Bronze, the amateur classification within GT racing, he spent seven seasons in indexed competition between 2017 and 2023, primarily for Barwell Motorsport. He raced in the British GT Championship, the 24H Series and GT World Challenge Europe, accumulating 33 starts across those series.[1]
In the British GT Championship he was most active, with 24 starts from 2019 to 2022 that yielded three wins and nine podiums. The 24H Series saw seven starts across four seasons, including one victory and two podiums in multiclass endurance racing that ran internationally across thirteen countries. His sole venture into GT World Challenge Europe, the single-class championship, came in 2023 with two rounds before he retired from racing; he finished 39th in the final standings for that season.[2]
In regular competition against Ian Loggie, a two-time British GT Championship GT3 champion and established professional, Balon was closely matched. He typically finished ahead of entry-level professional Lewis Proctor across their shared races in the British GT Championship and GT World Challenge Europe. His record included single-race finishes ahead of Lucas Auer, the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion and established professional, and Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 world champion.
