🇺🇸 Anthony Lazzaro

Anthony Lazzaro is an entry-level professional competing in national and international multiclass endurance racing, graded FIA Bronze. He races primarily in GT3 machinery across IMSA and international competition; his current activity is in GT World Challenge America Am and Pro-Am classes for Dollahite Racing, where he shares a GT3 car with other drivers during races.[1]

Lazzaro's racing record spans 11 seasons and 32 starts across five series. His early career centred on NASCAR Xfinity ovals between 2000 and 2003 with PPI Motorsports, where he was a road-course specialist in a series dominated by oval racing; he also made six IndyCar oval starts in 2001–2002. He returned to organised competition in 2019 with two Road to Le Mans entries, then moved into IMSA endurance racing. His two wins came in IMSA Prototype Challenge in an LMP3 prototype for Sean Creech Motorsport and in GT World Challenge America this year, where he has taken two podiums from four starts so far in the Am and Pro-Am classes. He has also competed in IMSA WeatherTech and the international 24H Series, taking a podium in the latter for ST Racing.[2]

In endurance racing he shares the grid with a field ranging from amateurs to graded professionals. He has finished ahead of established and elite professionals including Kevin Estre, a Platinum-graded two-time WEC champion, in multiple instances, and has beaten Kyle Larson, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and Gold-graded driver. Against his regular opponents in earlier series, Hank Parker Jr. and Ron Hornaday Jr., both professionals with extensive Xfinity experience, he typically finished behind them.
