He competed in the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Cup Series, running exclusively on ovals. His most substantial campaign came in 2015, when he took a win and a podium across seven ARCA starts for Cunningham Motorsports.[1]
Jones made 16 starts across all three series combined. His single victory came in ARCA in 2015. He moved to NASCAR Xfinity in 2016 with Rick Ware Racing for five starts, then stepped up to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2018 and 2019 with four starts total, finishing 43rd in points in his final indexed campaign. The fields he raced in mixed amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals; Josh Williams was a regular opponent across multiple series, and Jones was closely matched with him. He finished ahead of Chase Briscoe, the 2016 ARCA champion, once, and beat Tyler Reddick, who won the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity championship, on one occasion.[2]
