🇮🇪 Damien Faulkner

Faulkner is a professional endurance racing driver who competed in IMSA's national multiclass championships between 2014 and 2018. He raced GT4-level production-based sports cars in the GS class of the Pilot Challenge, driving for Winward Racing and HTP Motorsport, and also contested the top-level WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with GB Autosport. His record spans 29 starts across both series in a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same grid.[1]

He took two podium finishes in four seasons of racing, both in the Pilot Challenge between 2017 and 2018. His most recent activity was in 2015 WeatherTech, where he finished 36th in championship points across a partial season. Faulkner began his career in single-seaters; he competed in British junior formulae from 1995 through 1999, reaching the top three in Formula Palmer Audi in successive seasons and testing for Arden in F3000 at the end of that run before transitioning to sports cars.[2]

In the Pilot Challenge he regularly raced Spencer Pumpelly, a Silver-graded professional and 2016 class champion, typically finishing behind him, and was closely matched with Jeff Westphal, a Gold-graded professional and 2019 class champion. He finished ahead of Chase Briscoe, an elite professional and ARCA Menards Series champion, on three occasions, and beat established professional Kevin Estre, a two-time WEC champion, five times across their shared races in WeatherTech.
