🇩🇪 Dion von Moltke

Von Moltke was a professional endurance racer competing in IMSA's national multiclass championships between 2014 and 2017. He raced GT3 cars in the GTD class of the WeatherTech Championship for SunEnergy1 Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsports, holding an FIA Silver grade, the designation for drivers on the way up within professional sportscar racing rather than established full-time professionals. His single indexed podium came across 26 WeatherTech starts and a brief appearance in the Pilot Challenge.[1]

Over four seasons Von Moltke competed alongside established professionals and multiple IMSA champions. He ran closely with Ben Keating, a driver who has since taken multiple IMSA and WEC titles; he typically finished ahead of Patrick Lindsey, another Silver-graded regular; and he beat established professionals including Kevin Estre, a Platinum-graded driver and two-time WEC LMGTE Pro champion, on eight occasions. A single podium finish in 27 starts placed him in the mid-field of a mixed-amateur-and-professional grid. His racing record ended in 2017.[2]
