🇺🇸 Bill Sweedler

Bill Sweedler is a professional endurance racing driver who competed in international multiclass championships for over eight years. FIA Bronze graded, he raced primarily in IMSA WeatherTech's GTD class in Ferrari and Audi GT3 cars for TR3 Racing, with additional campaigns in the WEC's LMGTE Am class driving GTE machinery for Scuderia Corsa.[1]

Sweedler started his indexed racing in 2014 and accumulated 31 starts across both series through 2022. He took one win and three podiums in total, the win coming in WEC competition where he finished ninth in the championship standings in 2017, his final season of racing. He was a class winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and an IMSA champion in the GTD class, achievements earned with Scuderia Corsa.[2]

Sweedler held his own against the established professionals who shared his grid. He ran closely matched against Ben Keating, an FIA Bronze driver and multiple champion across IMSA WeatherTech GTD, IMSA LMP2 and WEC LMGTE Am, and similarly with Cooper MacNeil, an FIA Silver professional with 87 IMSA starts. He finished ahead of Maro Engel, an FIA Platinum established professional, and of two-time NASCAR Xfinity champion Austin Cindric in their meetings.
