Ukyo Sasahara is an established professional racing driver rated 4,748, competing primarily in Super GT and Super Formula for TGR Team Deloitte TOM'S. He holds an FIA Gold grade, placing him among the full-professional ranks in sportscar and endurance racing. His career spans twelve seasons from 2013 onwards, with 113 starts across single-seater and GT racing.[1]

Since 2020, Sasahara has focused on Japan's two premier racing series. In Super GT, he has taken 3 wins and 5 podiums across 51 starts, while in Super Formula his record stands at 2 wins and 3 podiums from 37 starts. Earlier in his career, he raced in the Formula Renault Eurocup (2013–2015), where he took a win and four podiums across 18 starts, and competed in Italian F4 and single-seater championships including FIA Formula 3 European and Formula 3 Macau. His 2026 Super GT campaign is underway, with 4 rounds completed so far.[2]

The fields Sasahara races regularly include elite-level professionals. He is a regular opponent to Sho Tsuboi, a multiple champion across both series and the more dominant driver in their matchups, and competes alongside Tomoki Nojiri, a pair of Super Formula champions who also consistently finishes ahead. Sasahara has finished ahead of Oliver Rowland, an elite professional and 2025 Formula E champion, twice in their shared racing, and has beaten Liam Lawson, an FIA Platinum driver with Formula 1 experience, once.
