Armaan Ebrahim competed as a professional in Indy NXT, a national open-wheel championship mixing amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers in a single class. He raced for Fan Force United during the 2012 season, his only indexed campaign, taking five starts across the full calendar.[1]
Ebrahim finished 16th in the 2012 Indy NXT standings. He was closely matched against Carlos Munoz, an established professional who had raced Formula 3 Euro Series and would go on to 73 IndyCar starts, beating him twice over the season. Against Esteban Guerrieri, who won the 2012 Indy NXT title and later became a two-time FIA World Touring Car Cup champion, Ebrahim typically finished behind. He beat David Ostella, another Silver-graded professional, three times; Ostella would later race IMSA WeatherTech sportscar events alongside his open-wheel career.[2]
The field in 2012 included Guerrieri at its head and Munoz among its established runners, with Ebrahim holding his own in the mid-order. His FIA Silver grading places him below the full-professional Gold and Platinum bands within sportscar and endurance racing, though his indexed record consists entirely of open-wheel competition.
