Juan Pablo Garcia is a retired professional racing driver from Mexico who competed in open-wheel racing across six seasons. He spent the bulk of his career in Indy NXT, where he drove for SPM with Curb-Agajanian between 2010 and 2014, and raced in Formula Renault Eurocup in 2008 for Team Motopark. Across 56 starts in both series, he finished sixth in the Indy NXT championship standings in his final season.[1]
Garcia's Indy NXT tenure placed him in a competitive field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with established professionals. He was a regular on the grid against Carlos Munoz, an established professional who went on to race in IndyCar and Formula 3 Euro Series, though Garcia typically finished behind him. He was closely matched with Jorge Goncalvez, a fellow Indy NXT regular. Garcia finished ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne, the eventual two-time Formula E champion, on two occasions, and also beat Valtteri Bottas, who would later race in Formula 1, once during their time in Formula Renault Eurocup in 2008.[2]
