Alon Day is a professional silver-graded driver racing in Trans-Am TA2, a single-class national championship. He is competing for TeamSLR in 2026, driving a TA2-class machine. Day holds a long record in North American motorsport spanning 2011 to the present, with seven indexed seasons across Formula 3, Indy NXT, NASCAR's national and regional series, and road-course racing.[1]

Day has won twice in his indexed career, both victories coming in the 2026 Trans-Am season. He leads the TA2 championship standing after seven rounds, with six podium finishes from those seven starts. His earlier competition included five Formula 3 Euro Series rounds in 2011 and seven Indy NXT starts in 2012, followed by sparse entries in NASCAR Xfinity, Truck, and Cup series between 2016 and 2018. He returned to regular competition in 2025 with two ARCA Menards West starts and two ARCA Menards Series starts for Venturini Motorsports before moving to Trans-Am.[2]

Day runs in a competitive field that includes established and entry-level professionals. He is closely matched with Carlos Munoz, an established professional with extensive single-seater experience across IndyCar, Formula 3, and Indy NXT. He regularly finishes ahead of Stanton Barrett, an entry-level professional with over 200 Xfinity starts. Day has beaten stronger opposition once each; he finished ahead of Daniel Suarez, the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity champion, and Ryan Preece, an established professional with 261 NASCAR Cup Series starts.
