Doug Didero is a retired professional driver who raced single-seater oval racing in the United States during the 1990s. He competed in IndyCar and NASCAR Xfinity, spending a combined nine starts across both series between 1991 and 2000. With Mid America Motorsports, he made six starts in IndyCar's 1999 and 2000 seasons on oval tracks.[1]
Didero's career was brief and largely unsuccessful against the established professionals he encountered. His best IndyCar result was fourteenth at the Delphi Indy 200 at Walt Disney World Speedway. Against the regular IndyCar fields he faced, he typically finished behind established professionals such as Eliseo Salazar, who had logged 53 IndyCar starts and competed in Formula 1 and International Formula 3000. He finished ahead of Scott Goodyear and Donnie Beechler once each; both were established professionals with extensive IndyCar experience. In NASCAR Xfinity, where he made three starts in 1991 and 1992, he finished 44th in the championship standings. His professional rating stands at 4,923.[2]
