🇯🇵 Michael Krumm

Michael Krumm is an established professional who raced multiclass endurance cars in Japan and Europe through a twelve-season career from 1992 to 2015. He competed primarily in Super GT, the Japanese domestic championship, where he drove GT500 cars for Kondo Racing across eight seasons from 2008 to 2015. He also raced in international endurance competition, including three starts in the World Endurance Championship for Nissan Motorsports between 2012 and 2015.[1]

His record across all series totals 59 starts with 2 wins and 8 podiums. In Super GT, where he made 39 starts, he took one win and six podiums. His single World Endurance Championship victory came in 2012, and he added two podiums across six starts in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. He also contested the FIA GT Championship in 2009 and made seven starts in Formula 3 Macau, a single-driver championship, across three seasons in the early 1990s. His final season of record was 2015, when he finished 15th in WEC standings after one round.[2]

In Super GT, where he was most active, Krumm was closely matched with the established professionals Juichi Wakisaka, a two-time GT500 champion, and the Platinum-graded Hiroaki Ishiura. He finished ahead of Ralf Schumacher, an FIA Gold driver and 180-race Formula 1 veteran, once across their meetings in Formula 3 Macau, and beat Tomoki Nojiri, a two-time Super Formula champion, at least once. His work with Kondo Racing, which fielded him for 21 of his 59 starts, placed him in a competitive team; across the index that operation won 28 races and fielded drivers including established professional Kenta Yamashita.
