🇩🇪 Erik Braun

Erik Braun is a semi-professional endurance racing driver competing in national German multiclass championships. He races Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport machinery in the Cup 3 class of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a ten-year campaign that spans 2016 to the present, and has made his first Nürburgring 24 Hours entry in 2026 for Speedworxx Automotive. The Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie fields amateurs and semi-professionals alongside graded professionals in fifteen shared classes; endurance racing requires each car to be driven by two or more drivers in rotation over the course of the event.[1]

In eleven starts in the Langstrecken-Serie, Braun has taken one podium finish. His 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours campaign is still in progress and has yielded a podium from its opening round. Across a dozen starts spanning a decade, he has finished on the podium twice. His regular opponents in the Langstrecken-Serie are entry-level professionals; he typically finishes behind Stefan Schmickler, who has nearly sixty starts in the series, and Horst Baumann, a FIA Bronze-graded driver with over a hundred starts there. Braun has finished ahead of Morris Schuring, a professional with credits in the Porsche Supercup, GT World Challenge Europe and the German touring car series, and of Salman Owega, a 2023 ADAC GT Masters champion who has raced the Nürburgring series on several occasions.[2]
