Will Powell is a semi-professional racing in a national single-class touring-car series and an international multiclass endurance championship. He races tin-top saloons in the BTCC for Autobrite Direct with JourneyHero and GT4 cars in the 24H Series for Circuit Toys. Powell holds an FIA Silver grade, the tier below the full professional ranks in sportscar racing.[1]
Powell has contested 37 starts across both series since 2022. His BTCC record spans two seasons and 36 starts, finishing 24th in the 2023 championship standings after 15 rounds. His endurance dΓ©but came in 2026 with a single entry in the 24H Series, where he took a podium finish at the Michelin 6H Abu Dhabi. The bulk of his touring-car starts came with Autobrite Direct with JourneyHero, a small operation without race wins that has fielded four drivers.[2]
Powell's regular BTCC rivals include two of the series' most successful drivers: three-time champion Ash Sutton and two-time champion Tom Ingram, both graded professionals with extensive single-seater and touring-car backgrounds. Powell typically finishes behind both. He has on occasion beaten drivers of higher standing, outpointing Jake Hill, the 2024 BTCC champion and a fellow Silver-graded professional, once across their meetings, and Dan Cammish, a Gold-graded touring-car professional with over 200 BTCC starts, once as well.
