🇩🇪 Salman Owega

Salman Owega is a professional racing driver competing in multiclass and single-class endurance championships across Europe. He holds an FIA Silver grading and drives GT3 cars for Optimum Motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, having recently contested the 24 Hours of Spa. His primary career has been built in the ADAC GT Masters, where he spent three seasons with Landgraf Motorsport and won the 2023 championship with four race wins from 22 starts.[1]

Since his ADAC GT Masters title, Owega has expanded into higher-profile endurance series. He joined the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in 2023, where he has taken a win and two podiums across six starts in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Cup 3 class and GT3 machinery. He made his first appearance in the 24 Hours of Spa in 2025 with HRT Ford Performance and has now begun racing in GT World Challenge Europe. Across his 34 career starts he has recorded five wins and eight podiums.[2]

Owega operates in fields mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals. He has regularly raced against Marco Mapelli, a Gold-graded GT World Challenge Europe champion with extensive experience in single-seaters and IMSA, and against Sven Müller, an established professional and former Formula 3 driver; the record against both sits closely matched or slightly in their favour. He has finished ahead of Charles Weerts, a Platinum-graded three-time GT World Challenge Europe champion, on one occasion, and has beaten Jack Aitken, a Platinum-graded established professional with 76 Formula 2 starts, three times in head-to-head racing.
