Hunter Yeany is an entry-level professional competing in solo sprint racing and endurance GT racing. He races GT4-level production-based sports cars in the IMSA Pilot Challenge GS class for Medusa Motorsports, and competes in the Zenith Racing Series, currently sitting sixteenth in the championship standings across four rounds completed so far. He holds an FIA Silver grading, placing him among drivers developing toward professional status in endurance racing.[1]
Yeany won the 2020 US F4 championship with eight victories across fifteen starts, a dominant season in an amateur and semi-professional field. He subsequently moved through Formula Regional Americas and the FIA Formula 3 Championship across 2020โ2023, taking 28 Formula 3 starts for Rodin Carlin across its R1, R2 and R3 classes in that multiclass international series. He has made selective appearances in USF Pro 2000, taking one win in three podiums from eight starts in 2024, and earlier raced in Indy Pro 2000, GB3 and SCCA Majors. Across 90 career starts he has taken nine wins and eighteen podiums.[2]
His racing places him among drivers ranging from semi-professionals to graded professionals. Kyffin Simpson, an established professional and 2021 Formula Regional Americas champion with extensive single-seater experience including 47 IndyCar starts, has been a regular opponent; Yeany remains closely matched with him. He has occasionally finished ahead of elite professionals including Isack Hadjar and Oliver Bearman, the latter a Platinum-graded driver and 2022 Formula 3 champion with 35 Formula 1 entries to his record.
