Jade Edwards is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship from 2020 to 2023, amassing 92 starts across four seasons for Team HARD and BTC Racing. She finished her BTCC career with no race wins or podium finishes, averaging 21st place. Edwards is the first third-generation BTCC driver, following her father Jim Edwards Jr. and grandfather Jim Edwards Sr. into the championship; she has also raced in the Renault Clio Cup UK, British GT Championship, and Ginetta Junior Championship earlier in her motorsport education.[1]
Edwards' BTCC tenure placed her against some of the strongest drivers in British motorsport. She regularly shared grids with multiple champions and FIA-graded professionals, including Tom Ingram and Ash Sutton, both among the highest-calibre drivers in the series. Across 72 starts against Ingram alone, Edwards finished ahead of the two-time Gold-graded champion on three occasions; she also beat four-time champion Sutton twice in 70 shared races and one-time champion Jake Hill twice in 71 encounters. These scattered results against elite opposition represent isolated achievements rather than patterns of competitiveness at that level, as Edwards finished behind each of these drivers in the overwhelming majority of their shared races. She retired from racing at the end of the 2023 season and has since moved into television presenting, currently co-hosting ITV4's live coverage of the British Touring Car Championship.[2]
