Jan Vonka is a retired entry-level professional who raced in endurance and touring car championships between 2002 and 2006. He spent most of his career in the FIA GT Championship, a multiclass endurance series where he shared a car with teammates across four seasons for the Czech National Team. He made two appearances in the World Touring Car Championship in 2006, racing solo.[1]
In the FIA GT Championship he contested 20 races; in the World Touring Car Championship he started twice and finished 22nd in the championship standings. His strongest results came against established professionals. He beat 2006 and 2008 FIA GT champion Michael Bartels twice in FIA GT races, and once finished ahead of Marc Lieb, an established professional with extensive experience in the FIA GT Championship and World Endurance Championship. Against his most regular opponents, Bert Longin, a Bronze-graded established professional, and Alexey Vasiliev, a professional, Vonka typically finished behind them across their shared races.[2]
