He drove for Son Veng Racing Team across six rounds, finishing 22nd in the championship standings in a field that mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals.[1]
Badaraco's single indexed season placed him among drivers of varying experience. He finished behind established professionals Yvan Muller, a four-time World Touring Car Championship champion, and Pepe Oriola across multiple meetings. He did take victories over both Oriola and Gabriele Tarquini, the 2009 World Touring Car champion and 2018 FIA World Touring Car Cup champion, once each during the season.
