Kourafas took two podium finishes during his time in the series. He finished 43rd in the 1991 NASCAR Xfinity standings, his final season of indexed racing. His most regular opponents were Jimmy Hensley and Tommy Houston, both professional-level drivers with far more extensive Xfinity experience; Kourafas ran closely matched with both. He finished ahead of established professional Jeff Gordon twice and ahead of Elton Sawyer four times across their meetings in the series.[2]
