Peter Zakowski was an established professional racing in single-seater championships in the early 1990s. He made three starts across Formula 3 Macau in 1990 and International Formula 3000 in 1991, driving for Crypton Engineering in the latter series.[1]
His career spanned two seasons of indexed racing. In Formula 3 Macau he contested one round as a solo entry for Aluett Zakowski F3 Team. He then joined Crypton Engineering for a two-round campaign in International Formula 3000, finishing 26th in the championship standings. His racing put him against established professionals including Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Laurent Aïello, both regular opponents who typically finished ahead of him. He finished ahead of Olivier Panis, a Formula 1 driver and FIA Silver-graded professional, on one occasion, and beat Max Angelelli, an FIA Gold-graded professional, once in their meetings.[2]
