Johan Jokinen is a professional racing driver who raced single-seaters and endurance prototypes across five seasons from 2008 to 2019. He holds an FIA Silver grade, placing him below the full-professional ranks in sportscar racing. His indexed career comprises thirteen starts in the 2009 Formula 3 Euro Series for Kolles & Heinz Union, eight starts in the Formula Renault Eurocup between 2008 and 2012 for Manor MP Motorsport, and four starts in the Le Mans Cup between 2018 and 2019 for Keo Racing, racing LMP3 prototypes.[1]
Jokinen's record across these series shows him competing consistently against fields that mixed amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. In the Formula 3 Euro Series he raced against the 2011 champion Roberto Merhi and finished ahead of elite professionals including Oliver Rowland and Esteban Ocon on occasion. In the Formula Renault Eurocup he shared the grid with Valtteri Bottas, who would go on to establish himself as an elite professional in Formula 1; Jokinen usually finished behind Bottas in their meetings. His return to racing in 2018 and 2019 came in the Le Mans Cup, where he finished twentieth in the 2019 championship standings across three rounds.[2]
