John Schauerman was an entry-level professional racing in multiclass endurance series, primarily in the Le Mans Cup and its feeder series Road to Le Mans. Rated at 3,919, he held an FIA Bronze grade, placing him among amateur and gentleman drivers in sportscar racing. Over eight seasons from 2016 to 2023, he made 50 starts across four series, driving LMP3 prototypes for United Autosports in the Le Mans Cup, GT4 cars in the 24H Series, and formula cars in the Lucas Oil series.[1]
His record across all series yielded one win and four podium finishes. The win came in the Le Mans Cup, where he made 30 starts; he also took three podiums there and one in the Asian Le Mans Series during a single-season venture in 2023. His 12 appearances in Road to Le Mans and two in the 24H Series produced no podiums. The strongest opposition of his career included Tom Dillmann, a Le Mans Cup champion and established professional with significant single-seater experience, whom Schauerman beat twice; he also finished ahead of Raffaele Marciello, an established professional and multiple champion in GT World Challenge Europe and Formula 3, once across shared-car endurance racing.[2]
His regular competitors in the Le Mans Cup were Anthony Wells and Colin Noble, both professionals with extensive endurance racing records in the same series and its international counterparts.
