Jonathan Hirschi is a retired professional racing driver, FIA Gold graded, who raced primarily in multiclass endurance series over a ten-season career spanning 2007 to 2022. He competed for octane126 in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, racing BMW one-make and GT3 machinery across its Cup 5 and SP 9 classes, and for Duqueine Team in the WEC. His indexed record comprises 34 starts across five series, yielding two podiums.[1]
Hirschi's career centred on the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he made 14 starts for octane126 between 2017 and 2022 and took one podium. He completed four starts in the Nürburgring 24 Hours for the same team across the same period. In the WEC, he made ten starts for Duqueine Team from 2012 to 2020, recording one podium; his most recent indexed activity was a single round in 2020. Early in his career he made four Formula Renault Eurocup starts in 2007 and two FIA GT Championship starts in 2009, both brief solo and shared-car campaigns respectively.[2]
Hirschi raced regularly alongside Frank Stippler, a Platinum-graded professional and 2021 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 9 Pro champion, in a closely matched head-to-head record. He typically finished behind Patrick Assenheimer, a Silver-graded professional and 2019 SP 9 Pro champion with 87 Nürburgring starts. Against stronger established professionals Hirschi occasionally finished ahead, including twice against Laurens Vanthoor, an IMSA and WEC champion with 30 WEC starts, and once against Matt Campbell, a WEC and IMSA champion with 34 WEC starts. His endurance career placed him mid-pack in a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded full-time professionals.
