Kai Askey was an entry-level professional competing in single-seater and endurance racing across four seasons from 2021 to 2024. He held FIA Silver grading, the level for drivers developing towards the full professional grades in sportscar and endurance competition. His primary machinery was the British F4 single-seater with Carlin, a team fielding 132 drivers over its record in the database, alongside prototype racing in the LMP3 class for Inter Europol Competition and TS Corse.[1]
Askey made 29 starts in British F4 during 2021, taking five podiums with Carlin in a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. He moved to endurance racing in 2022 and 2023, competing in the multiclass Le Mans Cup and Asian Le Mans Series before joining Inter Europol for a ten-start campaign in the European Le Mans Series from 2023 to 2024, which yielded three podiums across the LMP3 prototype class.
