Andy Chang is a retired racing driver from Macau who competed in single-seater formula racing at the international and local level. He raced primarily in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship from 2014 to 2016, making 25 starts for ThreeBond with T-Sport, and contested the Formula 3 Macau championship in the same period with six starts in the same equipment and livery.[1]
Across three seasons and 31 starts, Chang finished 24th in the 2016 FIA Formula 3 European standings in his final year of indexed racing. He was a regular fixture in grids that mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals. His most notable results came against the generational talent Charles Leclerc, whom he out-qualified or out-raced once during their time in the FIA Formula 3 European field, and against elite professional Tadasuke Makino, who would later win the Super GT championship; Chang beat Makino twice across their meetings in the same series. He was a consistent competitor against Felix Rosenqvist, the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European champion who went on to race IndyCar, though Rosenqvist typically finished ahead. His main team across the indexed record was Fortec Motorsports, an established operation that fielded 164 drivers during the period covered by this index.[2]
