Keith Bass raced in the 2016 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin, a single-make series for road racing. His racing record consists of five starts in that season, finishing without a win or podium; his average finish was around 30th place. The field he competed in included several FIA-graded professionals and former champions; notably, he finished ahead of Robby Foley, an FIA Gold driver and champion, on one occasion, and also beat several other Silver and Bronze graded competitors once each, though he was outpaced by the majority of his regular rivals.[1]
Bass finished behind Ashton Harrison, Zachry Lee, and Alex Bachoura in all their shared races, and was rarely competitive against the stronger drivers in the grid. His team for four of his five starts was Atlanta Motorsports Group, which had no race wins on record in the database. His career in organized racing ended after that single season in 2016. With a Racer Rating of 2,214, he sits in the amateur field; this was a brief and unsuccessful foray into road racing against professional-level competition.[2]
