Louis Gachot is a developing single-seater driver who raced in ADAC Formula 4 and Italian F4 between 2016 and 2017 for Van Amersfoort Racing. His career spans 43 starts across two seasons in junior open-wheel racing that mixed amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers in the same fields.[1]
Across his two indexed seasons, Gachot took a single podium finish in ADAC Formula 4 and finished 22nd in the Italian F4 championship standings in 2017. He was a regular opponent of Leonard Hoogenboom, an entry-level professional and future Le Mans Cup LMP3 champion, and ran closely matched against him; he also raced frequently against Felipe Drugovich, now an established professional and 2022 Formula 2 champion, though he typically finished behind Drugovich. Among the stronger drivers Gachot met on track, he finished ahead of David Malukas on seven occasions and Charles Weerts fourteen times; both have since become established or elite professionals in motorsport's senior categories.[2]
