In isolated instances he beat drivers of considerably higher calibre; he finished ahead of Scott Speed, an FIA Platinum-graded driver and future Formula Renault Eurocup champion, and Luis Schiavo, who would win the Star Mazda Championship the following year. These results were exceptions rather than patterns and did not translate into sustained competitiveness against the class of the field.
Kurdock has since retired from racing. His single season represents a brief entry into professional-level single-seater competition that did not develop into a sustained career.
