Michele Faccin is a retired Italian professional racing driver. He competed in single-seater sprint racing, driving for Jenzer Motorsport in the Formula Renault Eurocup during 2008.[1]
Faccin's single indexed season came in 2008, when he contested the full Formula Renault Eurocup championship with fourteen starts and finished ninth in the final standings. The Eurocup field that year mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals; Faccin raced regularly against Pål Varhaug, a professional with experience in GP2 and GP3, and found himself closely matched. He also encountered Daniel Ricciardo, who would later become an elite professional and Formula 1 race winner; Faccin finished ahead of Ricciardo twice across their meetings in the series. He beat established professional António Félix da Costa, later a Formula E champion and WEC driver, on two occasions as well.[2]
