Michele Merendino is an entry-level professional racing in shared-driver endurance championships. He holds an FIA Bronze grade, the amateur classification in GT and sportscar racing. His indexed racing spans two seasons across the FIA GT Championship and the 24H Series, in which he pilots a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the 991 class.[1]
Merendino made five starts in the FIA GT Championship in 2002 for JvG Racing, finishing 36th in the final standings. Eighteen years later he returned to racing with a single outing in the 24H Series for TEMPO S.R.L., where he secured a podium finish across the multiclass field. His career record totals one podium from six starts.[2]
In his most regular series, the FIA GT Championship, Merendino raced alongside established professionals including Fabrizio Gollin, champion of that series in 2004 and a driver with 54 FIA GT starts behind him, and Paul Belmondo, who competed in Formula 1 alongside an extensive GT career.
