Philip Wiskirchen is an entry-level professional racing in national multiclass endurance championships at the Nürburgring. He races BMW M240i Racing cars and turbocharged production-based GT4 machinery for Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, and holds an FIA Silver rating, the grade for drivers on the way up in sportscar and endurance racing rather than established professionals. His first indexed season came in 2023.[1]
Wiskirchen has taken five podiums across nine starts in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and Nürburgring 24 Hours since 2023. He has twice finished on the podium at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, including a top-three result from the opening round of the 2026 edition, which is still in progress. His record spans three classes; the majority of his podiums have come in shared-car endurance racing where multiple drivers rotate through a single entry.[2]
He races regularly against professional-graded drivers from stronger single-seater backgrounds. Giuliano Alesi, a champion of Super Formula Lights and a Formula 2 and Super GT regular, and Kazuto Kotaka, a Super Formula Lights champion with extensive Super GT experience, are close competitors in the multiclass field. Wiskirchen has finished ahead of Timo Bernhard, a 2016 WEC LMP1 champion and established professional with Platinum credentials, and Jörg Bergmeister, another Platinum-graded driver with 28 WEC starts and 35 IMSA entries.
