Philipp Frommenwiler is a professional endurance racing driver competing in multiclass championships across Europe and the United States. Graded FIA Silver, he races primarily for BSL Racing Team in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he drives Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars in shared-driver format. His career in the indexed series spans from 2010 to the present, with five starts also recorded in GT World Challenge Europe and IMSA WeatherTech.[1]
Across 20 starts in multiclass and single-class endurance racing, Frommenwiler has taken two podiums. His most significant campaign came in 2019, when he competed in both GT World Challenge Europe for Jenson Team Rocket RJN and IMSA WeatherTech for AIM Vasser Sullivan. His longest tenure is with BSL Racing Team in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a series he has contested since 2010 with eight starts to date. Most recently he started the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours for the same team.[2]
His regular competition includes established professionals graded Platinum, including Christopher Mies and Felipe Fraga, against whom he typically finishes behind. He has on separate occasions finished ahead of Matt Campbell, a three-time IMSA WeatherTech champion and WEC LMGTE Am champion, and Charles Weerts, a back-to-back champion of GT World Challenge Europe in 2021 and 2025.
