Auvray finished 37th in the 1999 FIA GT Championship standings. His record in the series placed him below established professionals such as Paul Belmondo, who contested 42 rounds of FIA GT racing, and Luca Cappellari, who would go on to win the championship in 2004 after 58 starts in the series. He finished ahead of Vincent Vosse and Claudia Hürtgen once each, both drivers with substantially more FIA GT experience than his own.[2]
