Ricardo Maurício is a professional racing driver competing in the Stock Car Pro Series, Brazil's national single-seater championship, for Valda-Cavaleiro Sports. Graded FIA Gold, he operates at the upper tier of endurance and sportscar racing; his main work is in sprint racing on national circuits. He has raced continuously at this level for over a decade, with a single Stock Car Pro Series championship to his name in 2020.[1]
Maurício's Stock Car Pro Series career spans from 2014 to the present, accumulating 241 starts and 26 wins across that span. He won the championship in 2020 with Eurofarma-RC. Before establishing himself in Stock Car, he contested European single-seater formulae in the late 1990s and early 2000s; he won once in Formula 3 Macau and took four podiums across 37 starts in International Formula 3000, racing for the Red Bull Junior Team. His only foray into endurance racing came in 2019, when he shared an SPX-class car in the multiclass 24H Series and finished on the podium.[2]
In Stock Car Pro Series, Maurício races as a peer to other established national-level professionals. His regular opponents include Júlio Campos and Rafael Suzuki, both FIA Silver-graded drivers with comparable Stock Car experience; he runs closely matched with both. His single most notable scalp came in the 24H Series, where he shared the podium-finishing car ahead of Mark Webber, the 2016 WEC LMP1 champion with 217 Formula 1 starts, and Laurens Vanthoor, an elite professional and three-time IMSA and WEC champion; these results, however, reflected a shared-car endurance format in which co-drivers' contributions shaped the outcome. His standing in Stock Car itself is mid-field among a professional and semi-professional national grid.
