Celso Miguez is a professional driver who raced single-seater machinery in Formula V8 3.5, a national-level championship mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same grid. He competed in the series from 2005 to 2007 across 27 starts, primarily for Pons Racing.[1]
Miguez spent three seasons in Formula V8 3.5 without taking a championship title. His best classified season came in 2007, when he finished 23rd in the championship standings after competing in four rounds. Across his career he scored occasional results against established opposition; he finished ahead of Will Power, a two-time IndyCar champion, on three occasions, and beat Davide Valsecchi, the 2012 GP2 Series champion, once. Against his most regular rivals he was closely matched with entry-level professional Milos Pavlovic but typically finished behind professional Ryo Fukuda.[2]
