Ben Hanley is a British driver whose career began in single-seaters, where he emerged as a Formula Renault 3.5 Series runner-up and a Renault Formula 1 junior driver before a hiatus from full-time competition. He returned to racing in 2016, moving into sports car endurance racing, and along the way added starts in the IndyCar Series across two part-time seasons. His endurance career also included stints in the FIA World Endurance Championship's top LMP1 class with DragonSpeed and Ginetta, giving him experience at the highest level of prototype racing before he settled into a steady presence in North American sports car competition.[1]
Currently active in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with United Autosports USA, Hanley has amassed 42 career starts, one win, and three podium finishes, though he has yet to claim a series championship. In the 2026 season he has recorded one podium through four rounds without a win, placing him 110th in the standings. His Racer Rating of 3,622 places him 873rd among active drivers on the platform's Elo-style scale, reflecting a career built more on consistency and experience across disciplines than on outright dominance.[2]
