Mario Dominguez is an established professional racing solo single-seaters and touring cars at international level. He holds an FIA Silver grade, positioned below the full professional Platinum and Gold tiers in endurance and sportscar racing. Dominguez races for Apycsa Racing Team in the 2025 TCR World Tour; his career on record spans three seasons from 2008 to the present, totalling thirteen starts across IndyCar, the FIA GT Championship and TCR World Tour.[1]
His single podium came in IndyCar in 2008, during a seven-start campaign that included three oval-track races and four road or street courses. In the FIA GT Championship in 2009 he made three starts for K plus K Motorsport in the shared-driver endurance format. His recent return to racing came in 2025 with three rounds in TCR World Tour, where he finished twenty-second in the championship standings.[2]
In his regular IndyCar opposition Dominguez finished more often behind Will Power, a two-time IndyCar champion with 309 starts in the series, though he beat Power twice. He was closely matched with Justin Wilson, a 2001 International Formula 3000 champion who completed 121 IndyCar starts, and beat Dan Wheldon, the 2005 IndyCar champion, once across their meetings.
