Sandro Zeller is a retired Swiss driver who raced single-seaters in Formula 3 competition between 2010 and 2014. He competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series and FIA Formula 3 European championship, driving for Jo Zeller Racing, the team founded by his father. He held an FIA Silver grade, placing him below the full-professional Gold and Platinum ranks in endurance racing's grading system.[1]
Zeller made 102 starts across both Formula 3 championships over five seasons. His final campaign came in 2014 in the FIA Formula 3 European, where he finished 26th in the points across 19 rounds. He raced regularly against drivers who went on to establish themselves at higher levels; Felix Rosenqvist, who would become FIA Formula 3 European champion in 2015, was a frequent opponent who typically finished ahead of him, as was Tom Blomqvist. Against stronger competition, Zeller occasionally came out ahead; he beat Carlos Sainz, later an elite professional and Formula 1 driver, five times across their meetings in the Formula 3 Euro Series, and finished ahead of Laurens Vanthoor, who would go on to win multiple IMSA and WEC championships, three times.[2]
