🇺🇸 Tayler Malsam

Tayler Malsam was a professional stock car racing driver who competed in NASCAR's national series. He spent three seasons racing on record between 2010 and 2014, primarily for TriStar Motorsports in the Xfinity Series and later Turner Scott Motorsports in the Truck Series. He drove stock cars in single-class, solo competition across 49 national-level starts on a field mixing amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers.[1]

Malsam raced 37 times in NASCAR Xfinity between 2010 and 2012, finishing 30th in the 2012 championship standings. Nearly all of his Xfinity starts came on ovals. He moved to NASCAR Truck in 2014, taking 12 starts for Turner Scott Motorsports and recording a podium finish.[2]

His record placed him closely matched against Joe Nemechek, a semi-professional and 1992 Xfinity champion with over 500 starts in the series. He regularly finished behind Justin Allgaier, an established professional and 2024 Xfinity champion. Malsam finished ahead of two elite professionals with extensive Cup Series experience: Denny Hamlin twice and Ryan Blaney four times across their meetings in the lower series.
