🇩🇪 Frank Kechele

Frank Kechele is a retired German professional racing driver who competed in single-seater and endurance racing between 2004 and 2021. His indexed record spans Formula Renault Eurocup, where he raced for Motopark Academy, and two German-based multiclass endurance championships: the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he drove BMW one-make and GT3 machinery for GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG, and the 24H Series, where he piloted a GT3 car in the A6-PRO class for Lambda Performance. He holds an FIA Silver grade, placing him below the full-professional Gold and Platinum ranks in endurance and sportscar racing.[1]

Kechele's indexed career comprises 22 starts across three series, with a single podium finish in Formula Renault Eurocup. In that series between 2004 and 2007, he competed against a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals and regularly finished ahead of Oliver Oakes and Tobias Hegewald, both of whom went on to race in GP3 and Formula Renault at higher levels. His most sustained racing came in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he made six endurance starts between 2011 and 2021, culminating in a tenth-place championship finish in 2021.[2]

Kechele's documented results include single finishes ahead of Daniel Ricciardo, then an established driver on his way to Formula 1, and once ahead of Brendon Hartley, who would go on to become a multiple-series champion in endurance and open-wheel racing.
