Jimmy Simpson is a professional racing driver from Indianapolis. He competes in single-class and multiclass open-wheel racing in the United States. His indexed record spans a decade from 2013 to 2023, with three starts in Indy NXT for Team Moore Racing in 2013 and 2014, followed by four starts in SCCA Majors FA class in 2023, where he races winged Formula Atlantic cars.[1]

Simpson won the 2023 SCCA Majors championship, taking four wins from four starts in the season to secure the points title. In his earlier Indy NXT appearances, he competed against established professionals including Luiz Razia, a GP2 Series veteran, and Matthew Brabham, the 2013 Pro Mazda champion; he finished ahead of both drivers once across those meetings. His regular opponents in Indy NXT, Juan Pablo Garcia and Zach Veach, who between them hold entry-level and established professional credentials with significant single-seater experience, typically finished ahead of him in those races.[2]

The 2023 campaign represents Simpson's strongest finish on record, a perfect result in a multiclass national championship that ran amateurs and semi-professionals alongside graded professionals on shared circuits.
