Miquel Julià was an entry-level professional racing in the Formula Renault Eurocup, a single-seater championship that fielded amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals in the same races. He competed for Epsilon Euskadi across a single season in 2007.[1]
Julià made 13 starts in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2007 and finished 23rd in the championship standings. He regularly raced against professional drivers including Tobias Hegewald and Oliver Oakes, both of whom would go on to race in GP3; he typically finished behind them. He finished ahead of Daniel Ricciardo, later an elite professional and Formula 1 driver, once across their shared races in the series, and also beat Jules Bianchi, who would become an established professional and champion of the Formula 3 Euro Series, in one meeting.[2]
