Charles Pic is a retired established professional who raced single-seater championships across eight seasons from 2007 to 2014. He competed in Formula 1 for Caterham across 2012 and 2013, accumulating 39 starts in the championship. His earlier career centred on the open-wheel ladder, where he drove for Tech 1 Racing in Formula V8 3.5 and for Barwa Addax Team in GP2 Series.[1]

Pic won eight races across his indexed career and took 20 podiums from 114 starts. His best single-seater result came in the 2011 GP2 Series, where he finished sixth in the championship standings with two wins and five podiums. He had also won four races in Formula V8 3.5 across 2008 and 2009, and claimed a win in the 2007 Formula Renault Eurocup. His five-round Formula E campaign in 2014 yielded no points.[2]

In the open-wheel grids he raced, Pic typically finished behind Romain Grosjean, the 2011 GP2 champion and a multiple Formula 1 race winner, though he held a closely matched record against Giedo Van Der Garde, the 2008 Formula V8 3.5 champion. He finished ahead of Lewis Hamilton once across their respective careers and beat Nico Rosberg twice; both encounters fell in lower series before either driver reached Formula 1 dominance. Pic later became involved in motorsport administration, taking over the DAMS Formula 2 team in 2022.
