🇱🇺 Yann Munhowen

Munhowen is a semi-professional endurance driver who raced multiclass grids at the Nürburgring across a decade of indexed starts. He competed for ADAC Team Weser-Ems e.V. in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie from 2014 to 2017, sharing one-make BMW Cup 5 cars and near-standard V5 production cars in a national mixed-amateur field. He stepped up to the Nürburgring 24 Hours from 2019 onwards, driving turbocharged SP 4T cars and near-standard production machinery in the same circuit's 17-class endurance grid.[1]

His record centres on the Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he claimed three starts and three wins; his most recent appearance in 2024 added a victory to his total. Across both championships his career totals stand at 13 starts, 3 wins and 3 podiums.[2]

The Nürburgring grids he raced mixed amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals. He ran regularly against Norbert Fischer, a three-time Langstrecken-Serie V5 champion and entry-level professional, and Christian Konnerth, a twice champion in the same class and a professional with experience at the 24 Hours; both remained closely matched with him. His victory record includes finishes ahead of Daniel Abt, an established professional with 57 Formula E starts, and Jamie Green, an established professional and 2004 Formula 3 Euro Series champion who has contested the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
