The IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge is a sprint series for professional and amateur drivers fielding LMP3 prototypes and GT3 and GT4 cars. It began in 2023. The field consists mainly of Silver-graded professionals and Bronze-graded amateurs distributed across three classes, with the GT3 cars in GTDX forming the strongest grid. Guilherme Salas, Thiago Camilo and Bijoy Garg head a field comparable in calibre to IMSA Prototype Challenge, its peer series and occasional source of drivers. The series sits in the middle tier of IMSA's domestic structure, stronger than IMSA Pilot Challenge and considerably stronger than regional road-racing series, but well below the established-professional standard of IMSA WeatherTech.
