The IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge is a North American sprint series sanctioned by IMSA for LMP3 prototypes, GT3 cars, and GT4 cars, fielded across three classes. The field is professional; all roster drivers hold sportscar credentials, and the stronger classes lean toward Silver and Gold grades typical of younger full-time professionals. Top drivers include Thiago Camilo, Bijoy Garg, and Matias Perez Companc. The series sits in the middle of IMSA's ladder; drivers arrive from IMSA Pilot Challenge and SCCA regional racing, and move on to the Pilot Challenge, GT World Challenge America, and various one-make cups, showing movement in both directions. Relative to its main peer IMSA Prototype Challenge, the VP Racing Challenge fields a slightly weaker grid overall.
