Dan Knox is an FIA Bronze-graded driver competing as an amateur alongside professional teammates, mainly across multiclass GT racing in the United States for Lone Star Racing. His Racer Rating of 4,051 places him in the professional band. His main program is GT America, where he splits time between the GT2 class, which runs SRO GT2 cars, and the SRO3 class, which runs GT3 cars; in endurance racing he has shared GT3 machinery in the GTD class of the IMSA WeatherTech championship, GT2 cars in GT World Challenge America, and GT4-level cars in the GS class of IMSA Pilot Challenge.[1]
Across eight seasons on record, from 2015 to 2026, Knox has taken five wins and seven podiums from twenty-one starts. GT America has been his most productive program, with three wins and five podiums from seven starts, and in 2024 he added two wins and two podiums from two starts in GT World Challenge America. His longest-running commitment is the IMSA WeatherTech championship, where he has made ten starts in the GTD class since 2015, and he has made a single start apiece in IMSA Pilot Challenge and in Trans-Am, the latter in 2020, when he finished sixth in the championship standings.[2]
