Dominik Schwager is a professional endurance and circuit racing driver, FIA Silver grade, competing in multiclass championships across Europe. He races primarily for Rinaldi Racing in the Le Mans Cup and Road to Le Mans, piloting LMP3 prototypes alongside co-drivers who share the car during races. His career spans from 1998 to the present, with his most sustained period of racing coming in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie between 2011 and 2017, where he drove Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and GT3 cars for Dörr Motorsport.[1]
Across 46 starts in indexed racing, Schwager has taken one win and four podiums. His single victory came in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he was a regular competitor over seven seasons in a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. He has also raced in the Le Mans Cup and Road to Le Mans with Rinaldi Racing across 2020 and 2021, competing in the LMP3 class alongside established teams fielding significantly stronger drivers. His earlier career included starts in International Formula 3000 in 1998 and two rounds of Super GT in 2008.[2]
In the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, Schwager raced regularly against Klaus Abbelen, a 2014 SP 9 champion, and Sabine Schmitz, also a 2014 SP 9 champion, remaining closely matched with both. He has on separate occasions finished ahead of drivers of substantially higher standing: Maro Engel, a Platinum-graded established professional and 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion, and Laurens Vanthoor, a Platinum-graded champion in IMSA WeatherTech GTD and the 2024 WEC Hypercar class. Schwager remains active in endurance racing, most recently competing in the 24H Series GT3 class in 2025.
