Igor Sushko is a retired entry-level professional who raced in Super GT, Japan's premier multiclass endurance championship, between 2009 and 2013. He drove GT300-class machinery for APR, a team fielding established professionals including series champion Kazuya Oshima.[1]
Sushko made 17 starts across five seasons in Super GT, finishing 15th in the 2013 championship standings. He secured a podium finish in April 2013 and occasionally beat established professionals including two-time Gold-graded drivers Katsumasa Chiyo and Yuhi Sekiguchi, the latter a two-time Super GT GT500 champion. Against his regular opponents he occupied a mid-field position; he typically finished behind Haruki Kurosawa, a former GT300 champion, while running closely matched with professional driver Hiroki Katoh.[2]
